GREECE

ANGLO-HELLENIC AGENCY - Athens

This only known translation of a Nancy Drew story into Greek is this paperback edition which was in a series produced in Greece known as "Girl Detectives." The translation of Hidden Staircase was #4 in the series - whether the others were also Nancys, or other girl sleuths is unknown. It appears to have been a joint effort with The Milestones Schools and the British Tourism Authorities.

The cover and the text are the revised versions. There is no indication anywhere when this book was produced. It has the 15 black and white multipic endpapers, and also reproduces the line-drawn internals.

The title would be pronounced something like "E Mistike Skala" and basically translates to "The Mysterious Staircase."
